Village Shops - serving the community

If you listen to the Archers, you wil know that this is a hot topic.

Many villages are facing the demise of their village shop, and are determined to do something.

Churches and others can play a key role in galvanising local efforts to run a village shop and find suitable premises.

There are some examples of Churches providing space for shops (more) and post offices (more).

There are least three examples in Warwickshire.

On this page you will see a record of our visit to Barford in Warwickshire.

There is also a village shop in the small village of Claverdon (more) and another in Long Marston. (more)

Please contact us if you would like more information and help on this topic.
