Paul is looking forward to
the appointment of Graham Hardwick's successor, scheduled for the
Summer. Paul will be glad to receive invitations to visit churches to
preach or meet with groups.
He says: ‘My prayer is that
as we work together on developing the mission of the local church, we
will appreciate more fully the importance of those many hours people
spend at work with colleagues, clients and customers. Even those who are
not currently working or who are retired can be involved’.
He is looking forward to
meeting the Chaplains and encouraging prayer support for them in the
area.

MultiFaith Project leader appointed
On Saturday 1st September at Rugby United Reformed Church, our
Development Officer Graham Hardwick took part in the ordination service
of Revd Robert Maloney.
With Graham were members of the Board including our Chair Graham Payne
and Vice Chair Ann Marie McTavish, who also played a major part in the
service. Robert will continue his secular job, but alongside that work
with us for 1/2 day each week on this project. Contact will be made with
all our chaplains, places we visit (existing clients), Other Faith
communities and Christian denominational leaders. The aim over a five
year project is to assess how we relate to the issues of diversity and
respect within our organisation. eg.
deploying chaplains from the other major faiths to workplaces as THE
chaplain, but on the basis as now.
The chaplain is there for everyone irrespective of their personal faith,
or lack of one!
This is very exciting and we are delighted to have Robert on Board.
